I keep a steady almost locked 60 through the fps limit, but it is still a stutter fest which is only slightly mitigated by VRR. It has nothing to do with the shader cache as it never gets better. It's entirely related to the way it streams and loads assets...which is an engine problem.
Throwing a 4090 at it or a 5090 makes no difference as well. You can't brute force through a crappy engine.
Also tried FSR 3.1 framegen on this nvidia card. It's bad too as the traversal stutters get amplified by inserting fake frames....aka double stutter
Same with this, any and all claims about Silent Hill Remake being bugged out the wazoo are - and always were, and always will be - Absolute Rubbish.
