Dog ending features Polish dialogue, even when language settings are set to English.

DISCLAIMER: This isn't a complaint. This is an observation.

So I got the Dog Ending earlier this evening and noticed that all of James' dialogue during this scene is in the original Polish with English subtitles. I've been playing the game in English, so this did catch me a bit off-guard. I don't know if this was intentional on the part of the devs because the Dog Ending is a deliberate joke, but I think it works really well in creating the self-reflexive distortion of the revelation this ending brings forth.

What does everyone else think?

I believe it is a dev team thing, their origins to be exact. For instance, in original SH2 dog ending was always (no matter the localization) in Japanese + English subs. Team Silent worked on original game and they are from Japan. Bloober worked on this one and they are from Poland.

I only regret we didn't get a pre-release patch version of that ending.

This is totally intended and you clearly didn't get the point. In the OG James speaks only Japnese in that ending because Team Silent were Japanese devs. The remake was developed by Bloober Team which are Polish devs, so ofc he speaks only Polish in that remake ending which is even an indirect reference to the OG at the same time.

That's the thing. I DID get the dev thing, appreciate and actually like it. Just wanted to make absolutely sure that it was deliberate since I never bothered to get the Dog ending the original version OR the HD remix.

No need for the condescending tone.

it catch me off guard too cuase i was expecting the japanese audio XD, when it ended i went to look what was the language cause i didnt know it, and then it all made sense, :v, i´m more sad we didnt get the alternate credits tho
