SILENT HILL 2

SILENT HILL 2

I can't activate DLSS4's preset "J" or "K"
I managed to get the Transformer model of DLSS4 working in Resident Evil 4, which doesn't even have an official DLSS implementation, via a mod (although I disabled it, because CNN model looks better there), but in Silent Hill 2, no matter what I do, the game sticks with Preset E. It's driving me crazy

I already swapped DLLs, used NVIDIA Profile Inspector to force Preset K (also tried J) and the NVIDIA registry UI still reports the game is using preset E

Any tips?

Which setting have you changed in the profile inspector? Have you changed it globally or per game?
me to ı cant. ı thınk not actıve on nvdia app yet
Its not available yet. Only able to change the framegen model at the moment.
I hope it will be possible soon, although I dont mind waiting just as long as it is eventually available.
EDIT: Oh, you were talking about swapper and profi;e inspector. I have no idea about those

You can do it through the Nvidia App.
  1. Undo the changes you've made, then go to
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA app\NvBackend
  2. Open ApplicationStorage.json
  3. Search for the 'SILENT HILL 2' entry
  4. Change the following from 'true' to 'false'
    • "Disable_SR_Override":true,
    • "Disable_SR_Model_Override":true
You may also enable RR and FG Overrides.
  5. Save the changes. These settings will be reset often unless you make the file read-only. But doing so may break some of the Nvidia App's functionality. Your choice.
  6. Reboot or kill Nvidia Container processes and reopen Nvidia App. You should now be able to change the model for Silent Hill 2 there. Use "Latest" for Preset K.
