Red Konami screen insta crash

I bought this game like yesterday night, I launched it and it just shows the Red Konami screen then instantly crashes, ive tried everything the -dx11, ive looked at everything to do online, my drivers are up to date, my windows is up to date, I have a 4070 so I know it cant possibly be my GPU, ive tried launching it on the NVIDIA app as well, nothing works...... is there really no fix to this problem??????? Ive seen other people have it as well im so lost what are the devs doing???

same exact issue, and now it's happening to other games that use UE5 like stalker 2 in my PC.. i think the update messed not just SH2 but other things as well

Same issue. The game launched just fine prior to this update.

It's not just you brother. I was doing a play through going for a specific ending the last few days. Got the new update and now I can't get passed the red Konami screen either. I'm PISSED. This needs to be addressed and fixed FAST.

3070 ti user here,
neva crash on konami red screen,
but i did crash on testing a patch then crash in front of the brook haven hospital while end after Laura bump into the door.
dev fix that after the day

yeah doing that worked for me when it refused to launch (also trying the new nvidia override stuff caused the main menu to crash)

delete the USHADERPRECACHE and UPIPELINECACHE Files under the folders and try relaunching

I remember you from the other thread, I had the same exact issue. I uninstalled my GPU drivers using DDU completely, installed new drivers, reinstalled both games, then it finally worked.

Not even checking "clean install" while installing new Nvidia drivers helped initially, I had to completely nuke my drivers using DDU to get it to work.

Had trouble with this as well but I finally fixed it last night. Apparently the Nvidia app was conflicting with the game. So I reinstalled the app and now the game launches and plays fine.
