isues with perfomance
not optimized for a R7 5800X and Asus Dual RX7600. as soon as i get to the church fps drops massively. when i get to silent hill the game cripples my gpu to 14fps-24fps. also audio bug causing an excessive reverb issue with dialogue. also surround sound is a mess. fsr3 and fsr1 has very little to no effect at sustaining stability. i cant even run the game 1080p on medium gfx. i have amd upscaling enabled for either 720p or 768p to 1080p. my monitor is a 180hz msi but even when i lock it to 60hz i get to silent hill and start chasing that monster to a house. i have to drop everything on the lowest settings and the game looks like i'm playing silent hill on ps1 at 50hz. it horrendous to play. even to livestream. it was extremely unstable. i just quit the game as the performance bugs were ruining the experience and immersion. i did overclock my gpu for that extra performance but the game is either giving clockspeed leakage and vram leaks and its not utilizing multicore cpu's either. this is my second new game i have bought in 2 weeks that just wont work... im not aiming for 2k or 4k. all my monitors are 1080p. how is it 1080p is poorly optimized as a standard in modern games.

i've already seen this video. its deltatime thats the issue. but my gpu is in the poor sector of their gpu list. thanks to UE5 being too powerful for most AMD cards. i have already tried to play the game at 768p works fine untill it glitches out and then crashes. i'll check the game in about 6 months to see if any patching has been done to improve anything. i've already found a work around to pass the time untill some patches arrive. its called cities skylines 2... lol. mmmmm, coffeee.... i will upgrade my gpu someday. but my pockets aint deep and there are no jobs where i live. so all i can do is livestream and sell what i dont need like my rx590 and rx5500xt. got my eye on a rx7800xt.

You may want to rewatch the video analysis because the "Deltatime" stuff is only for the choppy physics animation issue, and the suggested launch parameter + 30 fps external cap is only a "workaround" for this particular issue.

The main cause of this game's recurrent traversal stuttering/hitching is the flawed, misconfigured, or unoptimized asset streaming (mentioned by Alex DF in his analysis) and garbage collecting (engine) components.
I like the video game analyses of digital foundry, they put me to sleep much quicker than the bedtime stories my mother once read to me. And the slow motion scenes all the time do the rest. Thank you, DF.

yeah i know. its a broken mess. i'm a subscriber to DF so i get all the game informations. im just fed up paying full retail price tax free for a game thats bad quality on release. like final fantasy 16 and well cyberpunk. although cyberpunk got fixed over a year. just a shame it takes that long. also why is the SH2 directory still in prototype? as it says SH2Proto which explains everything. to why its a unfinished broken mess....
i mean come on bloober. this is a quality "https://youtu.be/T28KpvE8DkE?si=ljupClTeLccnm6tV / https://youtube.com/live/Yd71vg-vqF8?feature=share" game... by the way thats my game experience in recordings.

You should see it on my Ryzen 5 5600 and RX 6600. Forget the stutters, I can live with that. For me it's the horrible choppy frame rate. Even when I'm getting ~70 FPS it feels like 25 FPS, and the mouse movement is like slinging a wet noodle.

Meanwhile, on my weaker Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1660 Super, it runs about the same, maybe better. It seems this game hates AMD GPUs.

Cap to 30 or 40 fps using radeon chill in the adrenaline software see if that makes a difference. Also make sure everything is set to either medium or low and RT is disabled.

paste r.nanite=0 in engine.ini , massive boost (10-40% depends on location) and r.Shadow.MaxResolution=1024 (5-10% boost).

I cap it at 68 and get 68 most of the time. It just "feels" like 25. Capping it lower would just make it worse. Anything below SOLID 60 FPS is "unplayable to me after getting used to 144Hz and getting 120+ in most games. I have most settings on low, FSR 1-Quality, -dx11. Anything else is unplayable.

Made zero difference in the hospital, but I am running dx11. This a dx12 only thing?
EDIT: Those two setting made a huge difference in DX12! Now DX12 runs as well as DX11 for me. Thanks.
