Will be patient, then!
Thanks, folks.
- install the Playstation Accessories App
- connect the controller with a USB cable only!
- in Steam settings make sure Steam Input is not enabled for this game!
- wait until the game is fully loaded / or playing
- disconnect the controller
- you must see a message "controller disconnected"!
- reconnect your controller
- in about 5 to 10 seconds all features, including the speaker will work
Note: there is the bug that seems to make the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback stop working after about 10 mins. Simply move your move or press a key should be enough to get it working again. Annoying, but its the only solution for now.
Yes, it does use the speaker on PC for radio static mainly.
At first I thought it didn't. Everything else worked fine except the speaker.
Then someone else mentioned that workaround. Now all I have to do is unplug the controller, and then reconnect it. About 10 seconds later I'll hear the speaker work for the radio mainly.
Make sure you DO NOT have the controller also connected / paired via bluetooth as well, as that won't allow it to work correctly either. It needs to be only connected over a usb cable.
I can disconnect / reconnect the usb cable on the main menu or during gameplay... as long as you get that prompt about it being disconnected it should work when you connect it again.
Thanks for the tips!
I've never used the PS Accessories App.
It didn't even occur to me that the radio static could be coming out of the Dualsense speaker. That's brilliant (and makes perfect sense!).
About to give this a try.
- You need to move your mouse every so often to "reconnect" your Dualsense haptics/triggers.
That's basically what it boils down to.
So dumb.
