Stop out sourcing Japanese franchises to western devs who don’t care about the source material and just want to push their agenda onto games
I get what you mean. It would have been awesome if CAPCOM made it in the RE engine (imagine that!) but that idea is just wishful thinking given they are Konami's competitors.
I can't think of any other Japanese developers who might otherwise be a good fit for this. Can you think of any?
I don't think it's fair to say that Polish developers suck, too. The Witcher 3 is an incredible game made in Poland. That was in 2015, and there are lots of awesome games and indie devs coming from Poland with lots of them tracing their roots to strong AAA games.
Have you actually played this Silent Hill 2? What do you dislike about it?
To be honest and based on The Medium alone it was blind luck on their part.
If you watch Konami's video blogs on Metal Gear Delta, it's clear that they have developed a lot of humility, lately.
We got a 2.0 patch for the Metal Gear Collection that's a great step in the right direction - and this was after a direct apology of how they had launched the game.
They also just released the Castlevania DS collection that was greatly received.
I don't know - I think it's harsh to say they've fallen.
I wasn't a fan of some of the character models in this remake when it was first announced - I'm still not fully sold - but after playing it, it's definitely "forgivable".
BTW polish developers are usually good and work hard, probably cheaper than an American or japanese studio.
Clearly not or they wouldn’t have desexualised everything and sanitised the product
They try to get into Gaming again with some Remakes because they wer gone for Years and making only Pachinko and Arcade Trash (Japanese Only Stuff)
Team Silent is gone after SH4.
The Siren People are a Sony Studio or went to open "Bokeh Game Studio"
"Bokeh Game Studio" makes Slitterhead and to be true... It Looks Like pure Trash xD
"Bloober Team" is the only real Horror Studio on the Market right now and the only Studio that could make a SH Game.
Giving a Studio that makes the best Indie Horror Games (beside Blair Witch...) the Chance to make a SH Game is Not a Bad Idea.
Why Vatra Games, Double Helix Games or Climax Studios get a Chance is the only Riddle.
Giving some Trash Studios without any Horror Games the Chance for a SH was fking stupid and killed the Franchise.
"From Software" would be the only Studio that could make a AAA Silent Hill but the Budget to hire them would be to high.
Bloober is cheap and they Love SH and they have experiance with Horror Games.
And they Made a Epic Remake.
