Extremely bad performance
Im honestly kinda lost on how people are even playing this with how horrible the performance is. I tried so many solutions and now the only problem is constant stutters.

I Don’t understand how people with the same pc specs like mine have better performance it just makes no sense 💀

My specs: 16 gb ram. Rtx 3060ti, i7-9700f

Red dead 2 runs better than this at high graphics 😭 and i get no stutters.

Given that the game has its problems and a new engine which is therefore heavy... But how can you think of comparing it with Rdr2 which is 6 years old?

Due to being one the last heavily graphic games i played besides last of us so that’s why i compared it.

Yes, six years ago though. You would have to compare it to wukong or Alan Wake 2 or cybperpunk to go back to an older game. I also played Rdr2 well with my old 1060 3gb, but I definitely wouldn't have played Silent hill 2 remake

Yet wukong uses the same engine as silent hill and from what I heard it had godly performance yet silent hill couldn’t even get that at lunch which is a bummer. So hopefully Nvidia releases a drives update and makes it run better 🙏🏻

Did you play past the opening? my stutters disappeared once I got into the city. BUT, I have to admit, now that I am in the third location of the game, there are some rooms which drop to 40fps :/ I dont know why, they look like all the other rooms. It is still playable, but its weird

I completely agree, wukong works great and is very scalable with graphics settings (new studio, amazing). In fact the game doesn't have official game support... These things should make people angry and push people to make negative reviews while specifying what the problem really is (which isn't the game because it's really good)

Its very very unoptimized. It runs and looks great for me, but I feel like Im brute forcing it ( 7800X3D and 4080), 4k.
I initially started it up with DLSS on quality and was seeing dips into the 50's. changed to performance and capped fps to 60 and its solid.

I'd expect like 2x this performance with my hardware. It's a good looking game but any other game that looks as good performs a lot better.

Right now i got to town and the stutters are worse for me, even in buildings which sucks honestly.

wish wukong was an actually good game though. guess the trade off is good game and story or good performance.

yeah i walked into the bookstore and the game turned into a slideshow for a solid 5 seconds, definitely needs some fixes.

Of course you can compare, there are so many older games that look better than SH2 and don't perform like crap.

In fact the games should be running better today than 6 years ago.

Instead games looking worst and acting as CPU/GPU hog.

It's dev's skill issue not knowing how to properly develop the levels then optimize the game.

I completely agree UE5 is the most “powerful” engine and yet it has the most issues with performance so I honestly wonder sometimes if the engine sucks or if the devs don’t optimize correctly.

The stuttering is intrusive and immersion breaking. I refunded. When the tech analysis is released by the usual places, it'll be undeniable that this game suffers from a tremendous amount of repeatable traversal stutter on top of the one-time shader comp stuff.

The usual folk who see through stutter -- I understand, I only gamed on console during PS3/360 era and I didn't notice those systems' poor performance at the time -- will tell you the game is fine; that you need a better PC; or you need to do all these stupid little fixes that just result in placebo effects.

If you're somebody who notices stutter, you'll notice it a lot in this game. RE4 Remake and Wukong have a little traversal stutter. I can see past it to an extent. SH2 Remake has it very frequently.
