I'm asking because we just had the remasters for Dead Rising and Age of Mythology that were "changed" for the "modern audience."

Is the Silent Hill 2 remake true to the original?

Yeah they censored most of the game and even cut content. it's a modern remake for the "modern audience"

Sadly it is censored.

Still a fun game. But you can tell the new devs disliked aspects of the original that are deemed offensive in these weak times.

They even included a scene where Maria holds up the old outfit from the original. Essentially the new devs making fun of what she wore in the original. Harley did the same thing in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

The kitchen scene with pyramid head was completely reworked to remove the R scene from the original.

Angela lost all her original attractiveness.

Maria had her stomach covered and the butterfly tattoo moved from her bellybutton area to her chest area.

it's literally just the bootleg version of a resident evil remake. none of the polish or soul, you can literally get RE2R for less than 10$ or buy silent hill 2 remake a watered down DEI version for 70$. It's funny though how the remastered collection of SH is somehow better than this.

There's a pretty lengthy scene where Maria pretty much turns into a stripper to try and get James to bang her. It's flat out more suggestive than the original game alluding to her being a stripper at the start of the game.

There's a lot of the ol' Pyramidhead mannequin rape too.

But...this game wasn't published by Microsoft. This is only on PS5 and PC at the moment.
