Bloober, please fix the stuttering
This is ridiculous. Even locking to 30fps doesn't help. Constant hitching while moving around the environments.

sounds like a shader compilation issue

Nope, I'm over 10 hours in, and its still stuttering here. I've seen many people complaining about it, seems to be an issue with the game. Hopefully it gets patched soon.

Having the same issue, its damn near unplayable for me. Lowered all settings as much as possible, didn't fix anything. Haven't had this issue with any newer games at all, I am kinda disappointed.

Shaders compile throughout the game, it's not just a one time thing. (Unless cached) this'll be an issue on older hardware where it'll take a longer time of course (hence the stuttering)

You could try a different renderer, iirc vulkan seems to be fixing a lot of these stutter issues.

I haven't bothered to check the link, so do at your own risk. But this might help you.

it's overall UE5 problem, check recent wukong for example

Idk man, then they should either implement pre-compiling on the first launch or give you the option to use Vulkan officially. I've played other more CPU-intensive games that didn't have it as bad as SH2 Remake. And its not like the game is super taxing on the CPU anyway, mine barely hits 35% usage. Otherwise, the game is running perfectly fine with everything maxed out (minus ray tracing).

You try turn the priority in high from task manager? Help me with the stuttering with my I5 6400 6th gen and GTX 1060 6 GB

Modern hardware usually doesn't need pre-compiling, it can do it on-the-fly as different resources are loaded in. The issue is, you could be spending 20 minutes waiting for shaders to compile, only to change your video settings and have to do it all over again.

I don't know if Vulkan fixes the stuttering, but a lot of people have said it has. So I linked it in case anyone else checks this post and wants to take a look.

It's a major issue on almost ALL Unreal Engine game and I say this as a RTX 4080 Super owner.

My performance was a LOT better after forcing it to launch in DX11, but raytracing becomes unavailable and HDR breaks.

Check if you have memory leak. I had this issue with VRAM leak that spilled into my RAM. had to restart my PC. As for 30fps, i actually locked my game too 30fps and there is almost no stutters now. Kinda weird playing game at 30fps on 4070 super, but game becomes more GPU demanding later on anyway, so at least im playing at highest possible settings without DLSS

Konami as a publisher is pretty bad with PC ports or games, historically they've been more of a console company who left the industry to make gambling machines. So honestly I would rather they have stayed in their new lane making pachinko machines. Most every other SH game on PC has just been terrible for ports, and Homecoming was just a technical nightmare filled with unfixed bugs and crashes. So this could be an example of a rushed dev cycle to get it out in time before competition so they make more money.

The PS5 can also play it at 30fps.

I might be out of touch because i'm on the bleeding edge of performance, but generally speaking, i've had no issues and i'm running this under a translation layer. Stutters in modern games typically are a result of shader compilations. These go away after a few hours of gameplay or will only be present during your first playthrough.
