FPS Drops on RTX 3050 Ti with DLSS Ultra Enabled

Hello everyone,

I’m currently using an RTX 3050 Ti for gaming. While I understand it’s not the most powerful GPU out there, I’m able to maintain a consistent 60 FPS by setting the graphics to Low and enabling DLSS on Ultra. This setup works fine for me most of the time.

However, I’ve been encountering an issue that’s becoming quite annoying:

• Occasional FPS Drops: Every now and then, my FPS plummets to around 10-15 FPS.
• Duration: These drops last for about 20 seconds before returning to normal.
• Possible Cause: It seems like DLSS might be deactivating during these drops, but I’m not entirely sure.

Has anyone else experienced this?

• Potential Solutions: I’m open to trying any fixes or adjustments that might help stabilize the FPS.

Try this:
1. Open Library and right click Silent Hill 2
2. Select "Properties"
3. Navigate to Launch Settings under 'General'
4. Input -dx11

How tf are we this far into DX12 usage and developers still don't actually know how to use it properly?

Wow, running with

-dx11

fixed it. I went from Low Graphics with Max DLSS to Medium Graphics with balanced DLSS.
