Stutter fix

I'm super sensitive to stutter and frame pacing issues, but the entire intro was almost stutter-free for me. very minor traversal stutter. I've walked around the town a bit also. I'm shocked at all the impressions. I'm even willing to post a video for proof. I literally uninstalled Dead Space remake because it was unplayable for me.

4070 Ti + 5800x

I have HAGS turned off because I've experienced stutter with that enabled, especially in Cyber 2077.

SSR disabled

Set Shadows to Low.

Set Shaders to Medium

DLSS Balanced

Everything else maxed beside Ray Tracing off

60 hz refresh rate via Nvidia Control

60 fps cap in-game setting

1440p res

V-sync forced on in Nvidia Control Panel along with these settings:

Edit: here's a vid. I dont have any frame time graphs, but the perfect frame pacing and zero traversal stutter is apparent. Not a single stutter in this entire section. View in youtube at 60 fps of course.

The colors/brightness may be off because of wonky HDR settings.

Post a video with a frame time graph. I can see stutter in your video, it isn't as bad as Dead Space Remake but it is still there and not good.

Shadows to low will significantly made the game look worse in many areas, this is not a good advice

LMAO at this point the PS5 version looks better. Why are you even playing on PC when your going to lower your settings just to fix stuttering....

But, indeed, this game is not optimized, saw youtube vids of 4090 performance, it's not looking good.

I can see micro stuttering in your video. And like someone else said you don't even show a frametime graph - where the issue will surely appear.

I enter the forest: stutters
I cross the forest: stutters
I pass the grill: stutters
I enter the town: stutters

cmon devs, preload/cache your data! If naughty dog can do it on PS4 with an hard drive, you can do it with modern SSD!

Honestly, the video is too short to make a point.
And yeah, like some pointed out, there was a slight shuttering in your video.

Traversal stuttering does happen in this game, but it usually disappears in a split second, hardly noticing it, and definitely not as bad as others claim.
Still the game for me runs great with max graphic settings and with RT on.

I recorded this during my gameplay session, so far so good.
Avoid watching it if you have not yet reached the hospital.

It stutters for everyone, post a video of several minutes of gameplay with a frame time graph.

Ray Tracing on in most UE5 titles causes lots of stutter so no surprise there is far less with it off
