Can you still explore after dealing with maria?
i want to run off and find the garage jack, but i don't want to accidentally end up with the maria ending. can i progress until she stops following me and then go back and explore around the inn, or do you get locked out?

Actually running off on Maria helps you get the Leave ending, as you don't care about what she wants. ^^

She'll follow you around yeah, but not going the way she wants you to contributes to the Mary ending, not hers.
