Infinite Load on New Game

Anyone know why every time I hit New Game and start up it just loads forever? The task manager seems like the game went on idle or something cause its not using much CPU during the load. Fix for this? I don't think my specs are the issue here.

Post your specs, and verify the game files as well.

I got it to load after changing the FPS cap to Unlimited. Now I am just having crashes on the way back to Neely's Bar

Neelys bar is one of the locations that lags a lot for quite a few people. I'd recommend dropping your settings, and if you're playing on AMD good luck, a lot of people on AMD are having issues.

I have exactly same problem as you when start new game. I try the -d3d12 in Launch option (Game properties) and it work for me so far.

UPDATE: UGH! The game crash when on the way to the Neely's Bar.
