Playable on deck?

I'm waiting to get this, new to franchise and picking it up because it's my best friends fav and I wanna see what the buzz is about.

Has anyone tried it on deck yet? I have an easier time juggling life using the deck vs sitting at my pc.

If I gotta go pc route (or if I can cloud save between em) which controller would you suggest? I don't normally do controller on pc but bestie says game is made for controller for best experience.

So far I can play in my Rog ally pretty nicely. I keep getting hoed though don't put it on hard at the very beginning

It runs fine, I am getting 20-30ish frames/sec most places so far on low settings, but it feels stable and everything is readable. If you're expecting the graphics to look as great as the trailers, I wouldn't play it on the Deck, though

It runs on the deck for me, cutscenes are laggy tho and I had to set fps to 60

What about controllers? I only have an old school steam controller and it's a bit of a hassle. Would you suggest a playstation or xbox controller? I wasn't sure because I don't typically use them, and is a PS game but the store page says xbox controller...

I'm just using the built in controls of the steam deck, I don't know about external controllers yet

DualSense since it has exclusive features and its the best controller anyway. Lots of PC games support it now.

For controllers you can use whatever you are most comfortable with. It wont make any impact, I have been using keyboard and mouse and its been fine. But do you have a prefrence on controller ?

Ooooh nah you will be alright with this one on keyboard and mouse, assuming you are used to third person shooters / survival horror yeah ? Its really well done on keyboard and mouse, otherwise Id probably get a PS4 or PS5 controller. Eitherway gl and welcome to Silent Hill <3
