How is the performance while installed on an HDD

Hi all

I got this game and i'm gonna download it 7 am local time this tuesday before leaving for work and since the download takes me a long time, i'm gonna ask if the performance is abysmal on hdd. I mean loading times etc. I downloaded space marine 2 on an hdd and when i came home the game was literally unplayable so i'm afraid the same will happen here or should i buy a new ssd? (i'm currently out of space on my ssds)

It's fine on my 6tb Seagate 7200rpm the game is poorly optimised tho i5 12400 16 gig 3000 ram and rx6600 get 50 to 90 I'm low
