Poor performance on the PC version
Wow... I rarely come across a game that runs this poorly and with soooo many problems.
First of all, 30 fps cutscenes, in 2024... come on!!!!
I have an rx 7800 xt and a Ryzen 7 5800 x3d, a decent combo I would say, and I struggle to hit 60 fps at native 1440p in some places.
With raytracing on i have 45 fps, which would be ok if only the upscalers worked as intended... they don't. basically you don't gain any fps unless you go for balanced or lower. I think the game can't use the CPU properly.
The game is not scalable, at all, you gain almost nothing if you lower the settings.
There is also massive stuttering sometimes, probably when a new area is loaded, and there is ghosting, especially for leaves and hair.
It is also unplayable on Steam Deck, of course.

It is playable and I will play it, but it could be better and it must be improved.
Hope they fix at least some of the issues.

Upscaling is meant to be used.... There is no Native option whereby you have AA in this, the AA methods are upscalers under Supersampling method in GFX options.

The only good upscaler is DLSS, so unless you have an RTX card, then you're stuffed.

I hate to break it to you, but early access means we are essentially the guinea pigs. We get to enjoy the game first at the expense of poor performance, bugs, etc.

Usually day one or within the first week you'll see a patch go through improving the quality of the game. I've had certain frame rate drops here and there but its not that big of a deal.
lol. But this not ea.

Unlike Early Access, Advanced Access is not a unique model of development for a game, it's simply an opportunity to play a game before it fully releases on Steam.

They called it early access for quite awhile. Steam stopped calling it early access about 6 months ago. And yeah you're paying the most for the worst version of the game. Advanced access is preying on peoples fomo.

Never, in the history of GPU's, you could play modern games on max settings, high resolutions and frame rates, even if you had the best GPU on the market. On a 4080 I can get locked 60fps on 4k without RT, I think that's pretty good for UE5.

Wow and I here I thought 30fps cutscenes was a Square-Enix thing. Just pure laziness all around in the games industry these days. I bet a modder will patch it within a week.

I ran the game in Ultra with RT on and Resolution Scale to 200% with FPS locked to 60. No issue at all! I have RTX 4090 playing in 4K. Run smooth!
Devs forgot to mention we all need to buy a 3000 € GPU to play Silent Hill!!

The only big problem of this game is turning out to be the Strutter, which becomes more and more frequent as the story progresses

No, your Pc just sucks. I have a Ryzen 7 7800x3d, 32gb ram, 4070 super and using 2k monitor and its running really smooth max settings with DLSS on
