Why does James

Leave his car door open? Both in the original and in the remake after picking up the map he leaves the car door open. I am assuming that is his car but it's wide open. He drove there. It's an older type vehicle so leaving the door open would drain the battery. I just would think they have James closing the door after he grabbed the map. I mean I know they want to stay true to the source material but come on guys.

Well, i'm pretty certain going to Silent Hill was a one way ticket for him since the beginning, and considering he stated that he doesn't care if the town is dangerous or not, it only supports this theory.

Basically he thought he wouldn't really need the car anymore... unless you do the In Water ending...

Hmm I don't think he knew what was going on in Silent Hill. He left Silent Hill before the cult did their crazy cult experiment. Silent Hill was normal the last time he went there with his wife.

Maybe Eddie `borrowed` his car and driver to get his pizza in next town and then he drive back and parked it in SH bowling parking lot? would be really funny if we get mod to find James car really there and driver door still wide open

From what i understood, James arrives at Silent Hill right after he kills Mary, in which case he probably already had set some alarms off and at least someone would notice that James did that, specially if you believe in the theory of Mary's corpse being in the car. With that in mind, it kinda makes sense why he would leave his car like that, at least to me.
