Pc review dont sound good
Silent Hill 2 Remake works smoothly, sort of
Silent Hill 2 Remake has smooth gameplay, but you have to prepare for one important fact: without using upscaling like FSR or DLSS, you have to prepare for poor game stability. Framerate drops will be the norm. However, with upscaling enabled, smooth gameplay at 60 frames won't be a problem.

Even on a weaker configuration, it will be satisfying, as the game looks good even on the lowest details and with ray tracing turned off. The textures are not blurred, the shadows do their job in creating the atmosphere, and only the characters' hair reveals that the graphic settings are set to low. However, at the highest graphics settings, we are dealing with a visually pleasing survival horror.

The problem is the optimization done specifically for upscaling technology. Even if using it is currently the norm, it was originally supposed to be a solution for weaker machines, not a requirement for the game to work properly at all.

I think it's too different for me. I will just wait for the sale. The changes on the characters are bizarre.

Because DLSS drops your resolution and upscales it making it look worse than native in most cases?

I have no issue with using it but it shouldn't be an automatic thing you enable.

Its Made for this Generation.
The Outfit Change was done because it dont fit anymore.
We dont find this 90s Style Outfits sexy anymore and we dont want her running around in a EGirl Outfit right ????
And for Angela... she Looks Like the Actor that plays her and its the Same with all the other Chars in the Game.
She is Not fat Like all the haters say and she Looks good Ingame.

So you can't watch a movie or tv show set in the 90s, 80s or any time period that is not current? Ridiculous argument...

Or otherwords... its like most other new games like Alan Wake 2, HellBlade 2, or most UE5 games.

Its performing exactly as expected (and better than PS5). I think most people just need to be more realistic as to what PC hardware you need for a smooth native 4K game using UE5 and 60 fps+.

I played The Medium (another Bloober game) and I actually really enjoyed it. At the time I had a Ryzen 9 5900x/ 3070 and the game frequently dropped below 60 and sometimes 30fps.

I have a 4080 / 13900k now and even though it isn't the 'top of the line system' it should be able to handle everything thrown at it, but sadly PC ports have just been subpar this year. I really want to buy it on Steam but I am also worried that its poor performance will be a vibe killer for me.

Sadly the PC world we kinda live in right now for a lot of new titles.

Luckily there's an 2 day pre-order bonus, just wait for people to drop benchmark videos on Sunday and make a decision, that's what i'm doing.

Do we have any actual numbers for the game or just "it needs upscaling to run well". Thats how 90% of AAA games run these days, if you want eye candy you need DLSS or FSR.

ive seen a spanish streamer playing it on a 4080 at 4k res, pretty sure he was using dlss performance tho, it was running at 100+fps

Sounds good to me. Over 100 fps with DLSS at 4k is not bad for game that looks this good.
