Faithfulness is the factor that determines the quality of a remake. The more it keeps the original emotions, beliefs and behaviour component, while updating the necessary technical upgrades for which the remake was intended in the first place, the better Remake it is. The more it starts doing its own things for whatever reason, specially narcissistic ideological patronizing intentions, the worse it is.

Yakuza Kiwami, Demon Souls is a great remake, Dead Space, RE remakes are crap remakes. FF7 is not even a Remake, story is changed, characters behaviour and roles have changed, ideological nonsense is shoved in everywhere. Its called a Reboot, it starts with the original but does its own thing.

Marketing is done to fool fools, fooling the thinkers takes geniuses, just because some call their products Remake, doesnt mean it is. If youre believing whatever they tell you without thinking for yourself then you know what category you are.

Aloy looks like a barbarian from a cold climate should look. She has fat on her body to aid in keeping her core warm, which is actually realistic.
