Why is Maria so ugly
Look at that square jaw lmao, she looks like a man. Maria's sex appeal was a big part of her character and her relationship to James.

Not sure, why did everyone find pixelated squares so attractive before? Now that the characters look a bit more realistic people can't seem to handle it.

But that begs the questions does she HAVE to be? I can appreciate that people are disappointed with the change, but this is a horror game not about sexualizing characters. Frankly no one should care that the females look more realistic in this game.

She has a dumptruck and 2 mt everests on her chest, if thats not feminine idk what is.. her cheekbones are like angelina jolie's too, shes hot... this little coat of hers can barely handle the size of her mountains

The fact you people can't handle seeing a little bit of cleavage without screaming "overly sexualized" is concerning. Women wear clothing like that, it's okay for it to be in video games you don't need to be offended by it.

I prefer the VA in the original game. The new VA feels so lifeless, lacking in emotional expression compared to the original. I watched a side by side of Maria's first cut scene and it just doesn't hit the same. The camera angles were unimaginative as well. It felt like I was watching a Breaking Bad episode with how 'so-serious' the voice acting was.

Her looks are based on her voice actress in the remake whereas in the OG they based her look off of Cameron Diaz. Arguably it makes more sense that she isn't looking like a movie star since she is supposed to look very similar to his wife.

The funny thing is, she still has cleavage and still shows it throughout the remake. She is still a sensual woman, it's portrayed in her voice, the way she looks at James and acts around him and her body language (and the cleavage). There is more to sexuality than just the way someone dresses, and I personally like her new look because it gives her individuality and isn't just some celebrity outfit thrown onto her.

I even have the artbook and checked out all her potential concepts that could have made it into the game and out of the all the designs, the one that made it into the game fits the best. Besides, they still gave a respectful nod to the original game by showcasing the original outfit when you're at Jacks Inn.
