Does it run similar to the Dragons Dogma 2 mod? You enable DLSS then a hot key toggles FG?
I'm playing on a good rig at 4k DLSS Quality and generally its been fine but in the apartments i had to lower to Balanced because of some drops below 60, FG would smooth everything over nicely.
Have you tried it in Silent Hill? It creates this weird wobble.
LOL ok kid..
Of course, but these devs just refuse to do the most basic things. Lossless scaling is like 7 bucks and works with a ton of other games. It's definitely worth it.
I have and it depends on what your base FPS is. If it is lower than 60 then I wouldn't recommend any FG as the more frames they have to work with the better. Or if you can lock your FPS to a more stable level then that helps as well. None of them are perfect unfortunately.
It's not the same but it's close enough and if your hardware doesn't support it then it's better than nothing. Plus we don't have to pay some modder every time they grace us with a mod. I bet Nvidia will have a "universal" version coming soon for the new generation cards. I just hope they let us 40 series users use it too instead of locking it off for "reasons".
Honestly i don't think it's worth it, it did give me about 20-30fps extra but it doesn't hide the stutter so really it's pointless.
I also saw some sort of lighting glitches and possibly increased input lag playing with M+K.
Honestly if you can put up with the stutters just play the game, FG won't fix them magically.
That's been my experience with FG overall. It works best with a controller and if the game is stuttering then it will do nothing to "smooth" it out as it's relying on the FPS and if it stutters that means the frames are "stopped" for lack of a better word and has nothing to really generate with. So it's only useful if you can get a smooth FPS at whatever you can lock it to and then enable it.
Yeah the stutters are present no matter what your FPS is so really raising your FPS won't help too much.
If you were playing a stutter free experience and were getting say 40-50 FPS then FG doubling that may give a more fluid experience but the stutters just about overshadow everything in this case.
Having said that, i am able to put up with them, the game is very enjoyable and the atmosphere is incredible, i just wouldn't recommend spending money on a mod that really didn't make enough of a difference.
