Report a translation problem
To be clear I was moving the analog stick slightly to move slowly too.
I've been using a PS5 controller. No Steam Input.
Even tried it with my Xbox controller. Nuh uh.
Are you sure you weren't just moving at the one default walking speed?
I mean, my right analog stick for looking is sensitive to how far I push it. It definitely ain't my controller(s)!
Edit: A friend on PS5 said they didn't have analogue movement either.
Yeah, I feel it's just some Bloober jank.
It requires more programming. You either need to blend between the walk and the idle animation, or play the walk animation in slow mo.
Bloober probably couldn't be arsed implementing a solution, or they tried and couldn't make it look good, or something.
But after playing Resident Evil and The Last of Us which all have very smooth movement, this definitely feels jank :(
Funny enough, the game feels pretty decent otherwise. This (small) thing is probably my biggest complaint right now.
