DISK WRITE ERROR

I started the game today sand it won't start, so I figured I'd just uninstall the game, reinstall it and it should be fine.
Nope, every time it gets to the end of the Installation it stops.
And it say: download failed, disk write error.
Can anybody help me 😭

Okay weird idea. Disk write error. Try to install something else. If you are on a HDD or a hybrid drive you might have just had it die

Asked my buddy who does PC repair... this could actually be really bad if you are on a HDD or Hybrid drive. If you can safely install something else than it might be the game not installing properly OR if you cant install something else you may need to look for new storage

He also said to maybe backup your data just in case while it can still be read

Ok I downloaded a totally different game and it played perfectly

Thats very very odd though. Disk write errors are BAD. Thats usually an extremely bad sign for your storage. Like its gonna die soon bad. Do you have anything else to install SH2R onto? I dont think ive yet to see anyone having a disk write error from the game yet. Ill ask again do you know if your storage is a Hard disk drive or a Solid state Hybrid drive. Both of those actually use a disk to read and write storage. Solid state drives, M.2, and Flash Drives cannot get disk write errors at all

Fixed by adding exception to firewall.
Single file from this game triggers some to not download update or removes it by attempting to launch.

Oh yeah i forgot about that. I also feel stupid realizing that you can also get disk write errors on hardware that dont use disks... but if this does happen and youre on those sorta things its safe to check just in case :(
