GPU Usage HIGH
So, I'm a streamer. A vtuber, to be exact. I have a Radeon Gigabyte RX 6650 XT graphics card. Just for some background.

When playing the game, I've noticed that it uses up a TON of my GPU. like, anywhere between 60-80%. I stream this game on twitch with OBS and VTube studio for my model, with the game graphics currently set to medium. When I stream though, I've noticed lag both in the game, and then big time frame drops with my model. I usually keep everything in the background minimized to reduce usage, and I've even altered specs in AMD to try and help, but it doesn't. Does anyone have any recommendations so I can play the game smoothly and not have my model glitch out?

(also it crashed for the first time last time I played; one of those "fatal error" ones that pulls up a black window where you send and restart the game. I'm also on Windows 10 pro if that means anything).

When a game utilizes your GPU up to 80-95% it means it is a well optimized game because ultimately that is what the usage should always be.
It literally means the game is utilizing your GPU to the fullest it can.

When you stream, your GPU handles video encoding which puts additional load on it impacting game performance.

Yep, using ~98-100% is normal. Normally I'd say cap your frame rate to 30 or 60 to reduce it, but I doubt it would help much with a 6650 as that thing is going to be pressed either way.

Pretty much covered by the other comments but if your GPU usage isn't 100% then you're either using an FPS limit or your CPU is the bottleneck and you're not getting the most out of your GPU. 100% is ideal and your card was manufactured to be able handle full utilisation for as long as you need.

disable hardware RAY TRACING, lower shadows to low/medium, shaders to low/medium and cap the framerate as mentioned by another user. This game is very heavy on the gpu so its normal to see higher usage. If you continue to experience crashes try using DDU (display driver uninstaller) and reinstall your graphics driver.

Guys, seriously? This is as it should always be.... .
If this is not the case you do not use your hardware capabilities (what you paid for) or you have a CPU limit, which will cause stutters FPS drops.... . Either option is not great.

You want you GPU close to 100% usage. People should learn more about how their PC is supposed to work....

Yes, well, going about in Steam Forums teaches you that often even the simplest basics are not there :). Such a thread about GPU utilization..., when I see something like that I wonder if it is an especially creative troll or some kind of nice joke. As such it would be quite good :).
clueless
Guys this is basic PC stuff, GPU utilization is good, not bad lmao.

If you are playing in 4K, then switch the Scene Occlusion to HZB.
