Ridiculous fps drop in Angela's mirror room
The game is peak and runs alright for me with the odd stutter, but for some reason just being near Angela's room where her cutscene with the knife plays out and roughly looking in the direction of the mirror gives me maybe 10-20 fps at max.

Specs:
i7-12700KF
7900XT
32GB RAM

Is this a game thing or an AMD thing? Are the devs aware of this? I just reached the hospital so I'm not sure if any other location is like this.

That's because the game uses very high quality Raytracing reflections there (even if the setting is disabled).

That is not the only place, in several specific places you will experience the same thing.

I know RT isn't AMDs forte but that doesn't sound right? The 7900 XT is between a 3080 and 3090 Ti in most RT scenarios so surely getting basically unplayably low fps is some sort of mistake

Since the patch 1.04 mirror gave me the same problem, if you turn Frame Generation off it resolves the problem. I’m on a 7900 XTX juste turn it on again after this.

Another instance in the end, in the hotel where there’s a broken mirror did the same thing.

This part ran smooth for me, but the part I had massive frame drops, was at the cinema where Eddie was eating ice cream.
No idea why. Normal chatter was fine but as soon he dipped his hand in and licked it off, frame drops.

Turning off frame gen "fixed", this occurs in mirror puzzle in late game too.

Just turn off frame gen everywhere and for everything IT IS of NO HELP or USE ANYWHERE anyways.. It ONLY CAUSES PROBLEMS.. I'm not sure why people often times get offended by this and start making excuses for the frame gen FAD..
