my saves are gone after 'cloud' update

I was past the hospital and into the otherworld hospital last time I played. Since the update I started up the game and I'm all the way back at the inn with Maria. I lost hours and hours of progress. I checked the loading screen and they're all gone. This sucks. I'm done playing. I'll revisit this game in a year when I feel like going through all that again.

I guess I can request a save file. Does anyone have a save file right at otherworld hospital? I had just done the hospital bed boss fight and woke up in otherworld hospital. Saved and quit.

Now I'm all the way back at the motel save point with Maria.

If anyone has the beginning of otherworld hospital save file I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I couldn't believe it when I loaded up the game and James is back in the parking lot at the trunk of the car at the motel.

They alerted in update log to backup files the save files, cause this could happen....

yeah I missed that memo. The game updated and I went to play it and it's many hours behind where I was.

This happened to me as well!! how can we fix this? I have found my save files on SteamCloud... but I cant get the game to open them... how is this possible?>

How do you see your saves in the cloud?

My game saves got deleted after I had to reformat my computer this is bs. this is either a developer issue or it's a Steam issue and I personally think if it's a Steam issue we should easily be able to back up our game saves. cloud or not there should be an option to delete and arrange our saves.
