The area is smaller because limited and you have less to do ;-)

That's been one of the complains from people who played the original, including me. Places like Appartment, Hospital and Hotel now have 9001% more locked doors and navigating them can be a bit annoying.

It has less to do. The main central section are branches to three directions. Each will get you a part of the code/key to the box at the far end. In the next run, you only need to go down one, as the code remains the same if you play on the same difficulty, so you only need the key. The rest are just run-through sections.

Depending on the difficulty yeah it can be a hard one... On Hard difficulty definitly save as much ammo as you can.

Yup, it drags quite a bit as opposed to the original. A later section in this remake is also unnecessarily long, but it does have a redeeming quality room or two in there.

I loved it. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me but I am completely at home in the otherworld version of Brookhaven. If I had the same condition as the protagonist from Song of Saya I might actually be happy in my ♥♥♥♥♥♥-rusty-meat world.

I think it's just less oppressive than living in Canada.

It's gorgeous. I wish for a first person option just to check visuals.

There's a mod on Nexus but didn't check.
