Try using the -dx11 launch option and see what happens.
PS: The Store page clearly say the Deck is not supported.
In the previous update Developers mentioned that they improved performance on Steam Deck. Didn't try it yet though...
Frankly, that's impressive for a mobile platform. I get it, games would ideally be a smooth locked frame rate, but there's limits to what I'd expect.
FSR3 doesn't improve the performance on this game particularly, It actually makes it worse. I dunno the details but apparently UE5 doesn't work well with FSR. Don't quote me, thats what I heard. I would rather try TSR or XESS.
Sounds to me that the bottleneck is the cpu, and the increased overhead fsr has on the cpu whilst small is enough to reduce performance. I suspect we may see the same on high end pc's with red dead redemption 1 when that releases.
specially considering the game is poorly optimised. if they hadnt rushed the game, that shouldnt be an issue. the game should include options to run well, and look well enough in a smaller screen.
