Special interactions? *Spoiler*

So there are a few things you can look at, which do this little sound as if it would reveal something.
For example in the Apartments, I can look at a wall and it plays a little music.
Right now I am in the hospital and in the third padded cell I could interact with a part of the bloody wall, looking at it once again.

Is there something I don't get?

Those are called "Echoes". There are 26 in total. They are remembrance of the original Silent Hill 2.

They are spots mentioning clues or items used in the original version of the game made irrelevant in the remake, a nod in some sort.
