Fun one
So short answer is: Yes, that's definitely doable.
A more complex answer would be that while you could you might end up in a situation where you couldn't host the mod on major mod sites like Nexusmods because of potential copyright issues with taking audio from one game and putting it in to another.
For instance Nexusmods has banned accounts for something like putting Morrowind music in to Fallout 4 because of a copyright issue but then allowed other modders to put in GTA: San Andreas's CJ going "Awww ♥♥♥♥, here we go again!" in to virtually every game.
Do you just reply negative spam in every single thread? For someone that doesn't like the game, you sure waste a lot of your life posting negative comments on the forums.
Like i already told you in your topic, the remake surpasses the original 9 times out of 10. The only thing so far (i'm still at the labyrinth) they could have done better was the trick or treat scene voice acting. The game itself is a masterpiece solid 9/10.
Not possible, you can probably swap out the audio via modding but the puzzle itself is more than just an audio swap and you'd need access to the UE project files and all the logic stuff in order to do such a big change to the puzzle.
Still entirely possible to do so though for someone experienced with UE
It would actually be easier though to remix the audio to change the answer to what the puzzle is already set to. I mean... much easier.
So i assume it's probably more work than changing a few numbers in a notepad?
Also i'm guessing both audio files differ in length, maybe the elevator doesn't just wait for the audio to finish but is set on a certain time.
...You take that back right now.
Oh sweet lord, yes.
I mean, yeah but don't let that discourage you. If you find the length of time that the new audio takes to finish you should be able to slightly edit down any pauses in the original audio to match it because it's probably very close in terms of length. You could also remix the audio so that the options on the puzzle box match up without having to edit the box itself.
While editing the box would take a lot of work, editing the audio is so simple you could learn to do it in an afternoon with some free software.
I agree. Well i don't just agree, that is factually correct. There's stuff like the different ways of manipulating the ending with Barry while playing with Jill, they took out of the remake. It's still a masterpiece of a remake though.
Doesn't mean because something isn't perfect, that it automatically sucks.
Yeah, you personally will stop Konami from deciding if Blooper makes the next SH remakes. You solely, alone, will see to that. LMFAO
Damn, I didn't know he had authority like that.
Brilliant. That could be the perfect way to do it.
Thanks for the laugh there.
