How much stronger is the pipe?

Just finished the part where James "throws" away the wooden plank and now has the pipe, how much stronger is it? Obviously I can tell that it feels stronger but to know its hard stats is more reassuring (ex. it takes 3 less more hits now, 10% more dmg etc.)

When I played on Light, the Plank required 4-5 hits on mannequins while Pipe only required 3.
