game design is near perfect
this is a very good game
Homecoming would've been okay if the lock-on didn't suck. But it sucked hardcore and made combat more frustrating than it needed to be, both melee and ranged. The limit on ammo was BS, too.
Melee in Remake is good. It's not amazing like Leon S. Kennedy round-house kicking and suplexing ganados, but it feels weighty and impactful, and I never really got tired of it.
The story remains faithful tot he OG game and that is what counts.
Some models and re done scenes were not enough to irritate me. The game is good and worth at least sales price if you are on the fence about a legit purchase.
Yep
I've played a ton of horror games of various types, but this is one of the better ones. It doesn't hold your hand, yet it gives you a decent challenge. It also has loads of atmosphere and is genuinely suspenseful and has enough to scare most I think. Both sound and visual effects are top notch.
The gameplay is where it shines most though, especially the enemies. Some of the puzzles might seem a bit tedious, especially those with scribbling that's hard to read, but there's a lot of good ones that will make you think and are very rewarding to solve.
You're NOT a defenseless amnesiac with a fear of darkness, but apparently a strong willed individual who had the capacity to kill before. Still, maybe I set my expectations too high, but I find the puzzles more annoying at this point than the combat. Although if it was strictly puzzles, maybe it wouldn't be as annoying. Especially if solving said puzzles has some pressure tied to it (you're defenseless and your enemies actively prowl the area in search of you).
