Is the gameplay any good?

I'm interested in this game, but I already know the story of SH2, so while I'd probably still enjoy the story beats and atmosphere what really would make me feel like I got my money's worth would be decent gameplay that won't get old too quick over 2-3 playthroughs. I quite enjoyed all the modern RE titles, Dead Space 1 (original and remake) and 2 as well as The Evil Within 1 and 2.
In you guys opinion, could I get something similar out of this remake or should I wait for a sale?

Story wise they cut absolutely nothing. Many areas are fleshed out. Bosses aren’t just meat sacks you pump bullets in. They fight back. Hard. They have phases now and varying tactics and levels of aggression. Flesh Lip is now a boss instead of just a bunch of hard enemies. Abstract Daddy has been redone and the battle is so much more frightening and claustrophobic with great emotional impact. Eddie looks disgusting as well and is very challenging. There’s also one more extra boss never seen before and I like the addition.

Angela looks really like an SA survivor and her VA is exactly how SA survivor should be. She’s on the verge of breaking.

You have to be mindful of enemies counters now as your enemies have poise and can harden up to counter you if you swing away too many times. Some enemies will ambush you purposefully too. You now have dodge button and high active I-frames.

The cut contents are hyper spray and great knife as a weapon. You will wield it for a while but won’t use it as a weapon. The real downside is that Mary’s VA isn’t stellar. She’s OK but rather meh.

I paid full price on day1 with no regrets. Got 100% just today.

Oh, there's a visual archtype for people that have been raped? Interesting, please tell me more. How do all of these people look? They all undergo the same visual transformation?

Also, and don't use that insulting censorship language that soulless corporate-sellout coward YouTubers do by saying "SA" which didn't exist before YouTubers prioritised making profits over speaking truthfully.

It might be a little difficult for some with limited IQ to grasp that once a person is raped, and in Angela's case, repeatedly, they tend to act, dress and speak in a way that reflects their trauma. It's the idea of trauma, not the exact appearance. Angela's chosen appearance for herself reflects that. Long sleeves to cover her self-harm scars, dress in the least attractive way to prevent herself from being harmed, becomes very fearful and jittery around men, because the two closest men her life has ever known raped her. Again that might be difficult to some with little IQ, but not to some with actual experiences of dealing with traumatic women while working in healthcare/law enforcement/social service or some who have actually known women besides their own mothers. Not that she has to look like a "visual archetype for the people that have been raped", but then again, the incels seem to demand her to look a certain way when there's no requirement of that either.

Why would you play a game like that 2-3 times?
Anyway the gameplay is much better then in the original SH2. Combat is fun and challenging. Puzzles are okay overall. Visuals and audio design are stunning.

its like resident evil 2 remake but more realistic and a more stiff and clunky feeling, but the voice acting of james and the impact your melee weapon does makes the gameplay fun
