PC crashes completely when compiling shaders
Since the update my PC has been crashing and rebooting during shader compilation. I briefly got it to work yesterday after trying a second time. Cleared my shader cache to be sure and now have not been able to get past this point whatsoever. Tried different drivers through DDU, turning off my ram OC, reinstalling the game. Nothing has worked.

I'm unable to play and I'm not the only one with this issue. I have stress tested my system and compiled shaders on other games with no issue. Please help. PC needs another update

EDIT: I can get past the shaders if I set my resolution below 4k. Then the game crashes when loading a save

SOLUTION: I undervolted my GPU and the game works fine. It seems there's a huge spike on startup after the update that triggered OCP on my PSU. The common denominator here is 30 series GPU, which is known for this. It must have been made apparent with whatever they changed in the new initialization sequence.

Had this since yesterday immediately after the new patch, and I still can't even load up the game without it crashing and erroring out.

Whats your GPU and CPU?

Sounds like CPU-related issue. The game requires AVX2-instruction set which puts a lot of stress on your CPU, thus temp gets hot and unstable. So try to go to BIOS and tweak CPU Vcore and clockspeed.

My 12700k and 7900xtx is fine and this game worked just fine until after the patch, so it has nothing to do with my pc set up. So what else you got.

7700x here… starts compiling shaders for this game and it runs all the way up to 82c. Not a fan (no pun intended) of my CPU having to compile it every time i load the game after turning on the PC; especially because i just repasted it and have a 360mm radiator cooling it.

my CPU is already undervolted. should I try more?

CPU problem, Unstable undervolt

CPU problem, Unstable undervolt
should I increase or decrease the undervolt?

The simplest option is, you have to set the limits recommended by Intel, update the BIOS of the board with the latest microcode. There is a second option, you set the processor voltage to a fixed one, manually select a stable vcore, doing tests not only in stress test programs, at least AIDA, but also testing the undervolt in game shaders compilation, because compilation is very good at detecting instability.

Turn off FSR3.1 frame generation in Settings in the main menu so it doesn't crash
