Input lag after patch?
I don't know if I'm crazy or not but I already got all the achievements and what not via multiple playthroughs and with a controller but after trying out the patch I'm experiencing some big input lag. The game just feels sluggish. Anyone else notice this?

I'm in the same boat as you. I figure that you don't get that extra lag under dx11. Hope for a hot fix

It seems you have FG enabled? cause looks like its enabled by default now, on dx12

A full fresh reinstall fixed the thing for me.
Along with appdata/local/silenthill2 wipe

It seems if you start the game normally in dx12, everything is OK.

But if you start it with dx11 and then you want to start with dx12 again, it messes up everything and you get horrible input lag in dx12.

Also, performance data may let think you are kinda over performing, but it feels wrong.

I got a 3080ti, so no FG

Maybe it has to do with shader cache

I also have input lag on 1.04 with -dx11. Disabling V-sync fixed it for me

I sometimes refer to my misses as an input s1ag. She has some lag and sag .

Sorry off topic little .

I think I've found what was wrong about my input lag. I was using a mod. The .pak file of the mod was causing the issue.

Try disabling any .pak mod in /content/pak and see for yourself

The input lag indeed seems to be tied to the Vsync, and there is some other odd shenanigans going on. FPS cap in the game doesn't work, and if you cap it with external tools (NVidia's own panel, RTSS etc), the game shows 60fps, but runs 30fps.

Which mod would that be? besides a few fun model swaps, the one that's probably messing with my game the most is that Ultra Plus mod

Same here.
I have a strong input lag. It doesn't matter whether it's a fixed refresh rate or G-Sync. It doesn't matter whether Vsync is off in the game and on in the Nvidia panel. It's all very strange. Is there a solution now?

50-70 ms in Silent Hill 2. Something is wrong. Usually i have a latency of 15-25 ms, varies from game to game.
