Silent Hill 2 movie

So i had completely missed this but apparently there is going to be a movie called Return to Silent Hill that is based on this game and it should be coming this year (i read somewhere that in october? But can't find it anymore and it's kinda late now and people speculate it's gonna release next year). Although... "Director Christophe Gans confirmed to IGN that the new movie will follow the plot of Silent Hill 2 while also modernizing the story."
So, any thoughts? Are you gonna go watch it? I personally think i'm gonna give it a chance and go with an open mind

Compared to Silent Hill itself. It is not a very good "Silent Hill" movie. It discounts all of the lore. The fact it has Pyramid Head should tell you something. That character should NOT appear in other movies or SH titles, but here we are.

Well that's ironic coming from the guy who purchased a game that doesn't even resemble the original Silent Hill and has woke aspects. You're kind of contradicting yourself when you actually bought and played this game about what's considered good and about lore lol.

I found the other two movies to be kinda average, as in: I enjoyed them, but they don't sit high on my ranking list (I actually found the second to be a bit lower). I feel like this new movie would be just the same.
