Hollow circle, why won't you fill up?

I'm completely stuck in the rotten area of the labyrinth, because I can't crawl through this area:

The circle just remains hollow and doesn't let me interact with it.

This isn't the first time I've had trouble with the game being picky about how close / how far I have to be to interact with something, but until now I've always been able to make it work by moving around until the game decided I was at the right distance. But here, no can do, I just cannot interact with this no matter where I stand.

I believe it’s an exit. Same on PS5 & I found another way into that room & exited via that hole.

Something is blocking the way on the other side.

You'll be able to go through from the other side later on once you've cleared that obstacle.
