Also, crutch for what? Every area in this game is 2x the size as in the original game, lol.
The puzzles of Resident Evil are in similar tier so im not sure what you are complaining about
Most horror games these days are walking sim snooze fests.
Two thirds of the hospital can be skipped because of this. Both versions of it.
Besides, it's PSYCHOLOGICAL horror, so it's gonna rely on oppressive atmosphere and brain obstacle to hinder you rather than big boos.
This is no RE4 (5 6 etc) style gameplay where the game is more focused on the action (and the combat is way better there) with some puzzle elements here and there.
