I get the same thing when the game decides it wants to randomly crash.

What is your CPU model?

Random crashes are a part of the horror experience. It's not a bug, it's a feature :vitellary:

A previous person on these forums had a super old CPU that didn't support AVX. If encountered, this could lead to an illegal instruction error as the CPU doesn't know what to do with it. Note, if it crashes, but you can restart and continue, that's likely a different issue. An unsupported instruction I'd assume to be consistent. So, let us know what your exact CPU model is.

Min requirements list these CPUs:
Intel Core i7-6700K | AMD Ryzen 5 3600

1) use dx11

2) upgrade to windows 11 24H2

3) disable all your overclocks

Solution 3 worked for me.

The game successfuly starts, I mean only the main manue, but when I pick "new game" it loads, then "press any button" and it crashes after pressing the button. :wfmerc:

Your processor doesn't appear to support AVX, which does seem to be a requirement for SH2 remake. There are some utilities online that claim to remove the specific AVX instructions from the executable, but I wouldn't trust them personally.

Note, I am not sure about others here and their crashing, it may be for a different reason. However, if you consistently can't run the game at all and get that crash, AVX may be the cause.

From searching around online:
"I've found that a lot of modern UE5 games require AVX/AVX2 out of the box, with no real way to circumvent it.

Specifically I tried:
Until Dawn Remake
Silent Hill 2

Both crash with Illegal Instruction errors."

I hope they will release some kind of patch to solve it, anyway thank you for your attention!

I got ctd/bsod, my problem was ssd temp. Some new games use ssd intensive and reach high temps, and crashes. I put one fan, stable temp at 37°. Before fan reach 60-70° and got crashes in some new games installed in ssd. Tested with Samsung 980 pro and Kingston Fury Renegade, both reach high temps and crash. No problem with hdd (except interminable loads) or SSD with fan.

I'm really confused here.

I suffer this crash too and the no-AVX patch (along with running the game in DX11) fixes it, but my CPU is AVX and AVX2 compatible (Ryzen 5 3600) and I never had a problem with Cyberpunk having AVX (then removed) back when it was released (aside from the bugs, but no crashing)

Maybe it's not only the AVX, but also they screwed the implementation somehow? I admit I know little about the topic.

I'm at a loss here.
