We'll have to see, it's interesting to see Silent Hill F being based in Japan rather than the usual Western media. I hope they don't just leave SH2 remake as the only one when there is so much they can expand on with other old games.

Silent Hill 1 sold 2 million copys back in 1999. Remaking that would be a wise choice by Konami.

Silent Hill 1 is also less likely to attract the attention of predators & grifters on youtube given its purely a horror game and the women in it are mostly certainly not suppose to be attractive.

Over a million in less than a week. That would suggest if the game has a decent hold then it will have 2 million in the bank by end of year. I would say that is a solid success, especially for a long dormant IP.

I'm glad, because I really did like this remake. My only gripes are the flat, deadpan delivery of some of the voice acting and the janky animations, but everything else about this game improves upon the original. The combat is fluid and well balanced, the areas are more meaty and fleshed out to explore, and the Otherworld's presentation is gritty and terrifying compared to the tame, decrepit and lonely version in the OG.

Definitely needed the Hyper Spray though. Hopefully a SH1 or 3 remake, if we get them, adds more bonus weapons and improves on the combat even further with blocking and stamina management.

Absolutely MUST have the Beam Saber if we get a 3 remake and Hyperblaster in a remake of 1.
