Should I play the game with the NO FOG mod?

I never played the OG Silent Hill 2. I did beat and play the OG SH1 as a kid. Recently replayed it months ago.

Anyway, is the FOG in the game worth it? Or is the game cleaner/more atmospheric without it?

I saw some screenshots, and I liked how it highlighted the environment and all the details. But not having the knowledge of whats hiding in the fog is obviously the route I want after giving it thought. That's the only way to play it OP. Every real Silent Hill fan knows the fog was only due to hardware limitations of old consoles.

Those misunderstood genius Silent Hill HD collection developers undertood that and removed it almost completely.

The mods to play as Pyramid Head, Robbie the Rabbit and Leon say otherwise. Too bad there's no unlockable costumes in game, right? Sucks to play on consoles. ♦w♦
