So about the prison yard (possible spoilers)
So I have just completed the prison location and in the yard, I got the lever, placed it in the thing and the statues in front of me opened with the figure in the middle and with all kinds of text next to it and beneath it as well.

I had no idea what to do because I couldn't move it, I could just read it, so I backed up and pulled the very first rope on my right, got the cutscene, jumped through some holes, went down the elevator and so on after I reached the "portal" with the limbs (or whatever it is) blocking the way, I saved at the first red spot next to it and quit.

I was confused about the yard so I checked full playthrough vide on youtube and the person actually had different text on the plates and they could move them around, they also pulled the rope next to the one I pulled and ended up in a different location from where they were able to come back to the yard again. After that, the pulled the very far rope on the right side and pretty much my scenario I described above happened.

So, what is going on with the prison yard ? why did the person who made the full walktrough had different text and could move those around ?

I believe there's a few variations on the poems (or text, as you describe) depending on RNG (I guess? Possibly other factors) and also puzzle difficulty. If you choose an unjustified answer, you fall into a pit of monsters with some items like a health drink and ammo (I think, not 100% - been a minute since I chose the wrong noose) and the ability to return to the scaffolding in the yard. If you choose a correct one, you'll move on to the Labyrinth.

I have my puzzle diff set to standard.

So I guess only the hard difficulty has these options and you can choose wrong rope? Because I couldn't do anything with the plates, I could just read them so I pulled a random rope and got into the labyrinth.

I'm not totally sure if you're talking about the hanged man puzzle, but it sounds like it. This puzzle is a bit randomized so it's best to find a guide that explains how to solve it versus a guide with a solution.

I just flew through the text with my eyes and it seems like that when you have the puzzle diff set to standard, all you have to do is just read all the text and then guess which one it might be... when the puzzle diff is set to hard, I am guessing that you have to combine the ones already placed with the ones beneath them and then guess the correct answer.

It seems like I just guessed the right one without even wanting.

Yeah, seems like it. :)

When it comes to the randomizing its done so in a way that there is at least one person that's "innocent". For example, this one:

I took the child you are quite right,
Carried her off into the night.
She did not scream, she did not bawl,
I was her father after all.

If the second half says:

Forgive me, child, for I have failed,
To save you from her wretched ways,
She whom I loved, who gave you life,
A monster hiding in plain sight.

Then from reading it we can see that the childs father took the child away from an abusive mother. So he is guilty of the crime but it was for good reason. This would be a rope you WOULD want to pull.

If the second half says:

My only daughter, joy of days,
They wanted to take you away.
Hush, little baby, and be still.
If I can't have you, no one will.

Then from reading it we can see the childs father decided to kill the baby since the mother seems to have had custody. This would be one of the ropes you would NOT want to pull.

You can choose the wrong noose on any puzzle difficulty, even light. I mean, I think 3 out of 6 will lead to the Labyrinth, so it's not bad odds if you're choosing at random.

That is interesting, I am a bit disappointed that I managed to find the way without even trying to solve it because I was confused, but I guess that is how it goes sometimes lol.

I missed the selections below the poems and just picked the correct one at random. Though I forgot to grab the rifle so I reloaded lol

Nope you absolutely can get the wrong one on standard. My first playthrough was on standard and I picked the incorrect one, and had to run my arse off to the ladder to get back.

Well, I said that on standard you just have to read through them, whereas on hard you have to combine them and THEN read through them.

Of course you can choose the wrong one on standard as well, but you don't have to puzzle them together, I just happened to choose the right one on the first try lol.
