Mandarin Encounter

I thought part of their symbolism what that they were always under ground not able to go up, like James felt separated from Mary due to her sickness or something like that (writing from memory here).

However they were later re used for SH3 and rennamed "Closer" with it's own new symbolism and everything, so I guess it wasn't that important.

So, what do you think about the Mandarin encounter in the hotel?

I seen the screenshot ahead of time, I like the change opposed to have Abstract Daddy re-used in the hotel, it diminished his impact by making him a common enemy. But the Mandarin section in the basement and the boss fight were great, felt like a nice mini boss on hard mode, died a few times by underestimating the jump.

tbqh, i didnt even realize that was a design reusage of something originally from sh2. I just thought of it as an sh3 monster.

My first encounter with mandarin was 5 years ago . It’s quite a hard language .
