A minority in these forums need to stop obsessing over a teenage child abuse survivors attractiveness, stop objecting her, stop trying to sexualize her and just bloody stop objectifying women in general. There's a real women behind the character and it's disrespectful and damn right disgusting to keep obsessing over how they look.

The original Silent Hill creators intent was for Angela to be 17 years old. She was made 19 because her actor looked too old. Part of the reason she speaks like a child is because she was designed to be 17 with the other part being her horrific abuse. Angela's regression is the result of what happens when a woman is sexualized and abused by the men in her life. Given the context it's extremely creepy to complain shes not attractive enough.

The sick irony being that some people on these forums are completely obsessed with sexualizing her character. A subset of Gamers tend to see female characters in a sexualized light that divorces them from the greater picture when it comes to who that character is as they don't care beyond what arouses them. They don't care about their story, or the emotion or intention behind the character.

Angela's character was never designed to be attractive, not in the original game or here. In the original she looked old, frumpy with a bit of a belly. She looked like a normal older women.

In Angela's own words.

"So what do you want, then? Oh, I see... You're trying to be NICE to me, RIGHT?! I know what you're up to! It's always the same! You're only after ONE THING!"

Which is exactly what all these "Make Angela more attractive threads" are all about. It's not about sticking to the lore or being faithful to the original. It's all about a minority who can't play a game unless every women in it looks like a adult site actress. Just stop.

This complaints come from men online who often have profiles filled with half nude women or anime girls and a addiction to porn. He addressed specific people not everyone but because you skipped over that you didn't register that it wasn't actually about you or anyone else in the thread who it was not directed towards. The difference to then and now is like comparing the game series to the movies; the changes are massive and are clearly headed by someone else.

It's not like Masahiro hasn't done interviews regarding Angela, Maria or about Pyramid Head's actions and his process for them from back then. It's clear that he just signed off on just having his name on them now, otherwise it'd be Team Silent doing this and not Bloober. (Though Forspoken is proof that that's not fool-proof either.)


As for mods, well, is thought-policing the mods of a single-player game a bigger issue to the official remade product not being accurate to the original? The only people who care about policing this, are exactly like those religious groups who wanted to censor rock and metal music in the 70s and 80s; useless puritans with too much time on their hands.

So no, OP doesn't get to reduce all arguments about Angela 'being a sex object', because there'd still be push-back with Bloober taking liberties regardless, much less if they did something as dumb as basing her on a Kardassian or some other nonsense.

SH2R Angela doesn't look anything like Sandra Bullock. Where are you even going with this?? It's a self-insert because Bloober team changed how Angela looks and kind of based it on their VA.
