Settings to make SH2R a immersive horror experience
HUD = Retro mode. Having no HUD at all increases the immersion factor massively, makes the game more terrifying and stays faithful to the original

Turn OFF the firing reticle. Silent Hill 1 & 2 never had a firing reticle as your suppose to be a normal guy, not a combat veteran. You shouldn't be sniping everything with a magic firing cross-air if you want a more immersive experience.

Turn off the red damage indicator. James' injuries will clearly show on his body and you limp more slowly as you get hurt. The damage indicator is obnoxious anyway.

Optional settings to further increase the challenge and immersion.

Combat = Hard Mode
Puzzles = Hard
90's Filter. - The filter makes it feel like your in a film rather than a game.

Now enjoy a more immersive horror experience

No reticle is a huge disadvantage, since targeting limbs is so important for ammo conservation. I love this approach but it really makes combat more difficult in a bs way rather than a challenging way

Also you need to add to this, turning off auto-aim. Silent Hill 1-4 didn't have this level of auto-aim and the remakes best played without it.

The original had no reticle but had auto aim. I guess you could put aim bot at max

leave reticle on and just turn auto aim magnetism to off/low.

reduce size of reticle if it seems too big.

Thanks, I'll try it on my next run.

Also Alter the gammer so the dark is truly dark.
