Most Common Ending?

What ending do you think most people get the first time?

I'd guess water. But might be my own bias since that's the first ending I got in the OG too.

i'd imagine in water and leave. in the og version i was originally on track for leave and made a save to get in water because i heard it was sadder.

of course the best ending is definitely UFO or dog ending and im still not sure which of those i consider canon.

In fact, it seems it's "leaving".
One of the ending's requirements it is to heal james as soon as he is wounded (screen flashing red).
It took me 24h to finish my playthrough taking my sweet time and examining personal items qualifying for the "in water" ending and yet I missed it.

i got leave but I loaded a save and did a few things differently at the end and got water

Did you look at the knife? Thats the most important thing to do and by look i mean go into your inventory and manually look at it AFTER you receive it

I looked at/examined it more than once...
It seems a key point to get the "in water" ending is to act as if James is suicidal, meaning not healing as soon as the screen flashes red.

Maybe that is why I got water the first time around; I very much explored everything and was constantly looking at the letter and was standoffish towards Maria. I purposefully went for the water ending in the remake; as dark as it is, it's my favorite one.

Its based on length of time at that health. You could in theory heal like crazy than get injured to red flashing and stand that way for 20 minutes and be good for in water

Most common ending...

Uninformed consumer is not satisfied with boring simulator 2 remake, uninstalls and can't be bothered to even leave a review that won't get through the religious fans who love SH so much that it needs to succeed no matter what.

Boiling frog comes to mind in regards to these "Fans"

No criticism allowed because the brand Silent Hill is more important than the quality.

I changed my ending from leave to water by going through the rust colored egg door instead of the scarlet one and also not listening to all of Mary's dialogue in the long hallway

if we're talking quality, ascension and the short message weren't *even* popular enough to be insulted by people. sh2r is quality like this franchise hasn't seen in a while.

sorry, but true fans know this thread is a venus fly trap to bully whoever says they got the maria ending.

You're right.
I was hoping playing the same way as I did decades ago would get me the same ending but nope !
I'm disappointed getting the "good" (and totally uncanon) ending is now so easy...

It's the most appropriate, and my favorite as well. It makes sense for someone so trapped in his own head in one rumination spiral after another.
