Melee hotkey?

Playing with M&KB, I can't switch back to melee weapon. What key does it?

Either equip in menu or simply attack.

So if a ranged weapon is equipped (w/ mousewheel or hotkey 1/2/3), you have to equip in menu to get immediately back to melee wep?

It will switch automatically to melee if you press LMB and switch to firearms if you press/hold RMB
But you can use 123 keys to switch between them as well.

Ah got it, should've played with it a bit but have game closed.

So, if you're not aiming down sights, it melee attacks.
