Ornamental Key Bug... It's not spawning - Please help otherwise I've lost 12 hours lol

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!! So I collected the Ornamental Key no worries, it spawned at reception with the Room 312 key as intended. Next thing I know Unreal Engine crashes, game CTD's.. I lose about 25 minutes of progress, now the Ornamental Key is just nowhere to be found, I still have the room 312 key but no Ornamental Key anywhere! I'm 12 hours in and as far as I know I'll have to restart, can anyone help?

I don't intend on getting this until a deep sale but you could use a trainer and turn invincibility on and raise your character speed to get back quickly

Not the most elegant solution but unless someone has a save right before this, or unless there's an item give cheat, that's all I can think of

this has just happened to me but with key 312, i collected it at the beginning and now it’s not in my inventory. i need to open 312 now but the key is nowhere to be found. i’ve lost 12 hours of progress because of this

I think there are save games around already on the web, search in this same forum. Weird bug.

I always make separate saves when playing any game that allows for it. It's a good habit to get into on release due to well, potential bugs like this.

But also horror games are notorious for being able to soft lock yourself if you lack health or ammo. Don't kill the messenger it has happened to me too in other games especially old Sierra point and click games

Unfortunately the trainer doesn't seem to have "give item"

you need to put everything in the storage room when u go down to basement remember? your map and 312 keys is storage in there but the funny thing is after I am done with the basement got the 3F key to open the gate the door is lock I couldn't go back in to gather everything in that room. I am stuck now.

i know was being stupid and realised i left my stuff in there lol, completely forgot cause i left it off at that point to sleep haha

So... did this ever get addressed? Cause I have the same issue. I'm going through all the guides and they're insisting I should still have the key 312 and I don't.

Ok, nearly an hour of searching and exploring and etc etc. If you are stuck like we were, panic not because you can still get your key and items back!

Go to the 2nd floor, west wing (left side) and go to the employee elevator room. In the back is a locker with all your stuff. If you don't have your flashlight and items back, then thats why you don't have your key. Once you have those, you know you're good to go.

Good god this killed my momentum and vibe.
