Why did I get the Leave ending again? *SPOILERS*

I was actively trying for the Maria ending this time around.

-I stayed close to her for extended periods of time, multiple times.

-I visited her in the Hospital room and in the Labyrinth multiple times.

-I had all the optional conversations with her.

-I went to revisit her several times after she died the second time.

-I never let her take any damage, except ONCE (where she is grabbed after opening the safe in Jack's Motel).

-I never looked at Mary's photo, the letter, the knife or the handkerchief.

-I ran through the final hallway to skip the conversation ASAP.

And I still get the Leave ending even though I already got it on the first run, so the second run should've weighed more heavily towards Maria or In Water.

I'm pretty annoyed about this. A 12 hour run trying to get a specific ending and it's robbed from me. What the hell did I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do wrong!?

I healed a lot, sure, but that alone shouldn't push me towards Leave THAT heavily.

What colour apple and egg did you use?

Try again on the last save before the last two boss fights and take a lot of damage as if you're going for the In Water ending and you'll get it. It's what I did. It should push you enough away from the Leave ending, but if you went for Maria the entire game - you won't get In Water.

I dunno then. Weird. I will say that the only ending I got at the moment is Maria, and I DID look at the picture of Mary and read the letter. The only things I do remember doing was using the red apple and going through the red egg door.

It has to be because of the Syringes I used. Only a few, but apparently they are 100% health and so contribute a lot towards overhealing, which is a Leave factor.

That worked! She's on the bed this time, which has to mean Maria.

If that's how easy it is to push away from the Leave ending, just by standing still at critical health, then getting In Water should be a breeze. Don't need to worry about the other five endings since they all have criteria based on pickups and triggers rather than maintaining a consistent playstyle.

Funny: Healed 95 times but had only 146 pickups compared to the 460 in my first run. That's a LOT of healing items.

Same. I have done the Maria tasks. I have about 16 bottles and 10 syrengies. Playing on easy cause why not. I guess I will burn through all of those at the second to last boss and hope that that is enough stockpiled

i just quickly got all 3 endings on my playthrough, i didnt do anytthign special. Like, I did not use the rottten apple f.exp, or went to visit her etc.

All i did was I went through the door with the scarlet egg, i ran through mary's monologue. I came upstairs and boom, she was sitting on the bed instead of standing by the window.

I did stash all my personal items in storage for the employe elevator, but this did not hold me back from getting the "leave ending" the first time.

i also healed alot during my playthrough, like cosntantly and directly. To get the water ending i just left myself in red during the pyramid duo fight, and in the walk up there. Stared at the knife constantly during mary's talk.

Switch the eggs on the door it will trigger the Maria ending if you have simp for her
